Meet Max Q
I’m a husband, a father, and a grandfather — those are the roles that matter most to me.
I’m also a Navy veteran, a small business owner, and a proud Gage County resident.
Like a lot of folks, I’ve had questions about property valuations for a while now. Year after year, I noticed the numbers shifting — but the explanations didn’t add up. I decided to stop wondering and start asking.
I reviewed the data. I read the statutes. I listened to the community.
And then I started showing up.
I’ve published findings, answered questions, and raised concerns where they needed to be heard — not just online, but in the room, directly.
I’ve spoken publicly at hearings. I’ve sat across from officials. I’ve asked our answers on the record,
The system doesn’t work when the people funding it don’t understand it, can’t follow it, or feel like it’s being driven by default instead of design.
That’s why I’m running.
Because Gage County deserves:
Clarity, not convenience.
Facts, not frustration.
Transparency, not opacity.
The assessor’s duty runs both ways: to the county and its subdivisions that rely on accurate data to fund services, and to the taxpayers who deserve fairness, clarity, and trust in how their share is determined.
Someone who respects the data, the law, and the people who rely on both to be treated fairly.
I’m ready to do that work. I’ve already started. And with your support, I’ll have the authority to do it right and make a real difference.
